  • Barbados: Cruise Ship Terminal Planned at Bridgetowm

(ii) The Second Work Session of the Executive Board of the CIP (CECIP) was successfully hold by videoconference, chaired by Vice Admiral Frank Boyle, President of CECIP and representative of Peru's National Port Authority. The meeting was attended by the Secretariat of the CIP and the representatives of United States and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from Washington, DC as well as representatives of Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela who participated online from their respective country. As a result, progress was made in the CECIP Work Program under the Lima Action Plan and the third work session of the CECIP was agreed to be held in person at the Organization of American States Headquarters in Washington DC on November 12 and 13, 2012.

(iii) The XVII Iberoamerican Course on Port Management will be held from October 1 to 26, 2012. Organized by Puertos del Estado de España and the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS), in Madrid, Spain.

(iv) The XII Iberoamerican Course on Technology, Operations and Environmental Port Management will be held from Monday October 15 to Friday November 9 2012 organized by Puertos del Estado de España and the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS), in Santander, Spain

(v) We are pleased to announce that the fourth specialty conference on dredging and dredged material disposal, Dredging 2012, will be taking place in San Diego, CA on October 22 — 25, 2012. The conference is organized by PIANC USA with the collaboration of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) as cooperating organization. More information
